Assistant Agent is the NEW title given to all certificate of registration holders in ACT, commencing from 1st July 2022.
This is an entry level position, with limited functions, to allow new entrants to gain the experience and knowledge required to qualify as an agent.
Persons holding a Certificate of Registration can only act under the supervision of a Class 1 LIC.
Qualification requirements
In order to apply for a Assistant Agent Certificate of Registration, candidates must provide a Statement of Attainment (SOA) showing successful completion of the five (5) CORE units of competency listed below:
CPPREP4001– Prepare for professional practice in real estate
CPPREP4002– Access and interpret ethical practice in real estate
CPPREP4003– Access and interpret legislation in real estate
CPPREP4004– Establish marketing and communication profiles in real estate
CPPREP4005– Prepare to work with real estate trust accounts
***PLEASE NOTE***: AN ADDITIONAL FIVE (5) UNITS MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN THE FIRST TWELVE (12) MONTHS OF YOUR REGISTRATION. The additional five (5) units you must complete will depend on the type of assistant agent registration you are applying apply for.
We offer the Assistant Agents course in ACT through a number of Registered Training Organisations (RTO) under a third party provider arrangement. Your enrolment will be through one of our partner RTO’s who will issue your Statement of Attainment once they are satisfied you have successfully completed all the requirements of the course. Full details of our partnership arrangements and responsibilities will be provided to you upon enrolment and is fully explained in your Learner Handbook.
How long does it take?
You have ninety (90) days to complete the course after enrolling. We have three (3) options available some include one (1) on one (1) mentoring or trainer assistance as required.

Can I renew a Registration Certificate?
Yes you can as long as you meet the yearly CPD requirements. –if you obtain your registration within the 1st CPD year ie. 1st November to 31st October contact access Canberra to confirm to amount of CPD needed.

What level of trainer support will I receive?
Depends on the course option you choose – either one (1), two (2) or three (3).
What is the success rate for your students finishing?
