Assistant Agent – Real Estate
Certificate of registration holders as an assistant real estate agent must complete at least 3 units each CPD year from a valid Certificate IV qualification that is required for the issue of a Class 2 Agent licence in Real Estate (with or without restrictions).
Assistant agents can complete any of the units from their Certificate IV qualification.
Assistant Agent – Stock and Station
Certificate of registration holders as an assistant stock and station agent must complete at least 3 units each CPD year from a valid Certificate IV qualification that is required for the issue of a Class 2 Agent licence in Stock and Station.
Assistant agents can complete any of the units from their Certificate IV qualification.

If you are an Assistant Agent and completing units from the CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice these are priced at $770pp per session (inc GST) based on you attending Group Mentoring Sessions in Parramatta or via Zoom. Do I need to do CPD before I renew my Licence?
The CPD year for everyone is 1 July to 30 June of each calendar year.
It is no longer tied to your renewal date. So you don’t need to do CPD before you renew- as long as you complete required CPD in the July – June time period.

How many CPD hours do I need to complete as a Class 2 Agent?
Licensed agents must complete minimum hours of training on compulsory topics relevant to the class of licence you hold each CPD year.
Those minimum hours of training must include the compulsory topics relevant to your area of practice.
Residential Sales, Residential Property Managers and Buyer’s Agents – 7 hours covering 4 topics
Stock and Station Agents – 5 hours covering 4 topics
Commercial Agents – 5 hours covering 4 topics
Strata Agents – 5 hours – 4 hours covering 3 topics PLUS 1 hour TAFE module
Business Brokers – 5 hours covering 4 topics
Short-term Residential Property – 4 hours covering 3 topics
IMPORTANT NOTES:
Compulsory CPD Topics are different depending on what licence category you hold. In some cases you may need to complete more than the minimum hours of CPD.
For Dual Licence Holders ie Agents who hold a licence in more than once category, Compulsory CPD topics that are the same for both categories only need to be completed once, and completion counts towards your compulsory topics for both licence categories.

What are my CPD requirements as an Assistant Agent?
